Like most people, I started to learn Spanish with the usual ghastly grammar methods that make learning so dull and boring. Worse still... they didn´t help me in my quest to relate to Spanish speakers.

Yet, with a few simple and easy changes in my approach, I could effectively speak Spanish that I could use in the real-world.

And you too can enjoy the same instant success with Spanish, instead of stumbling as you try to find the right word, you can spontaneously express what you want (or need) to say.

You can use these shortcuts to start enjoying real Spanish communication in most common situations where having Spanish speaking skills will give you the extra edge you wish you had now.

What Learning Spanish Is All About... Which Is What You Are Really After, Aren´t You?

Imagine travelling through a Spanish speaking country or community and chatting with the locals and easily being understood. You walk up to a complete stranger without any fear to speak in Spanish, you just say what you want to say and your words are immediately acknowledged.

It´s a lot of fun.

It changes the way you travel and the way you relate to people...

How can anyone learn if they are confused, yet, confusion is very common in language learning. Wouldn´t you feel confused if you were confronted with this example?

"When the relative clause introduces a nonrestrictive clause (information non essential to the overall meaning of the sentence), you can use el cual."

Is knowing how to handle a "nonrestrictive clause", or even knowing what the heck it means, really going to help you communicate and make friends.

It is so much more enjoyable to learn real-world Spanish and... actually use it to communicate with Spanish speaking people.

Let´s make a link between an English word and a Spanish word right now.

the Spanish word for bread is pan.

Imagine yourself cooking bread in a pan. Really use your imagination and see yourself in your mind cooking a whole loaf of bread in the pan. The crazier it looks the better.

By creating a mental picture you are accessing the filing cabinet of your mind. This mental link between the English word bread and the Spanish word pan, gives you access to file and retrieve the word at will.

Let me show you how to internalize 2 Spanish words in under a minute

Use your imagination to learn these words.

The Spanish word for beach is playa.

Imagine you are "playing on the beach
see yourself in your minds eye playing in the sand.

Here´s what I mean...

When I started learning Spanish I used to learn words by category. For example, the category is the kitchen so you learn all the words in the kitchen.

Don't make this mistake!

I can't believe I was so stupid and wasted so much time. I learned words that I will never ever use. I even learned the word for dish drainer and plughole.

How many times do you think I have used the Spanish words for dish drainer and plug hole in conversation?

Never!

And I am sure you will never use them either.
